MST Solutions is extremely excited to join the Pledge 1 % movement to devote one percent of employees’ time to improve communities where our employees live and work.

Chandler, July 18, 2019 – MST Solutions announced today that it has joined Pledge 1%, a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. Spearheaded by Atlassian, Rally, Salesforce and Tides, Pledge 1% empowers companies to donate 1% of product, 1% of equity, 1% of profit or 1% of employee time to improve communities around the world.

The company’s success, according to Thiru Thangarathinam, CEO, is due to how MST treats community as one of its three stakeholders (referred to as three C’s: Customers, Colleagues and Community). As the company has grown since its founding in 2012, so has its charitable footprint. Thiru has consistently prioritized its philanthropic endeavors and strongly believes in making a positive impact within the local community.

MST Solutions is joining an impressive network of entrepreneurs and companies across the globe that have committed to philanthropic efforts through the Pledge 1% movement. By pledging 1% of its employee time, MST Solutions is demonstrating a commitment to philanthropic leadership.

Corporate giving has been an integral part of our culture at MST Solutions, and we are highly inspired by Salesforce’s 1-1-1 integrated philanthropic approach. Culture of Service and Humility are two of our key core values, and an integrated philanthropy model fits well with our work. Over the years, MST has been actively involved with SARRC (Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center), Phoenix Children’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Food Bank, and working with local schools and government officials to support various community development projects. In addition, MST employees receive paid time off to volunteer at any nonprofit organization of their choice. Collectively, over the last year our teams have contributed more than 4000+ hours and expertise doing food and blood drives, offering job coaching to underserved young mothers, cleaning up local rivers and volunteering for various organizations and causes that are closest to their hearts. A positive boost to team morale and enthusiasm is clearly visible, extremely valuable, and infectious.

“We are incredibly excited that MST Solutions has taken the pledge,” said Amy Lesnick, chief executive of Pledge 1%. “MST Solutions can play a pivotal role in building this movement and promoting a new normal in which all companies—big and small—integrate giving back as a core value in their business.”
